Like Mother - Like Daughter!

The Day Before

The Day Before Annalysa got married, we all went through the temple together. It was Annalysa's first time. It is always amazing to be in the temple with people you love, although I'm afraid it sometimes leads to too much whispering!

After the temple we had a BBQ for family and close friends at Micheal's parent's home. It was beautiful. They had it decorated wonderfully in Annalysa's colors and the food was delicious! We were scared it was going to rain at first, but the clouds cleared up and there was a huge rainbow over the lake. Everything turned out perfectly and Annalysa and Micheal seemed really happy.

It was fun to get to know Micheal's family more, and Moses loved running around and playing with his cousin, Tess.

Weekend in Calgary

A few weeks ago we went down to Calgary to visit our good friends, the Leavitts. We went bowling without the kiddies the night we got there. The next day we went to the lake. We played in the water and caught minnows to show the boys. After the lake everyone, including the adults, had a nap. We spent the rest of the day outside and enjoying the sunshine.

Moses and Tommy got along pretty good. Tommy soaked Moses with the hose, and Moses didn't even mind because there was water involved.

Day at the Lake

Our friends invited us out to their parent's cabin. We spent most of the day on the boat, only stopping to eat some dinner. Moses rode in the tube for the first time and seemed to like it.



I got up on the wake board. Just the fact that I was up was really good for me. Scott had a good time - here he is catching some pretty good air!


Moses and Jack, our friend's son, played together great. They both liked the toy tractor. Moses gave Jack a ride, the Scott pushed them both.

Dogs

Moses loves dogs! It was probably his favorite thing about Ellena's house.

Out to Lunch

The day before I came home Ellena, Moses and I went to lunch with Ellena's grandma and Ellena's cousin Joanna. Joanna has a little girl named Alyssa. She was such a cutie. And she was really nice to Moses too! Moses loved Ellena's grandma from the start (and he doesn't always take to people that quickly). It was great to see those girls. This was the first time I met Alyssa, even though Ellena would send me pictures from time to time.

"Wa Wa"

We went to the lake today. It turned out to be more of a fishing lake than a swimming lake, but there was a playground with some cool water features. Moses really enjoyed them. Our favorite was when he would fill his bucket and dump it on himself! It turned out to be a lot of fun!

A Natural Born Beach Bum

Moses loved the ocean! We went in the morning, so the sand wasn't too hot for him to play in. I taught him how to bury my feet.

He loved the waves. He kept signing and saying "more" right after the wave came in. If we hadn't held onto him, I think he would have ran out to sea!

Ice Cream and the Park... Must Be Summer

We are visiting Ellena in California for a week! She is doing great and we are having a good time. Today we went to the park in the morning and out for ice cream in the afternoon. You can tell by Moses' red face that he is not used to the heat here (to be honest, I am not either!).





I know there are a lot of ice cream pictures in this post, but they were so cute and funny that I couldn't resist.

A few messy faces

Scott's birthday was on Monday, the 25th, and Moses and I made him a chocolate cheesecake with a caramel and pecan layer underneath. It was yummy, and as you can tell by Moses' smile it was really fun to make!

Yesterday we had a ward Elder's Quorum activity. It was an ice cream social at the park. Moses wasn't the only kid with a messy face this time! This is Elizabeth (another one of Moses' many girlfriends)
