Conference

We watched the Sunday session of General Conference at Scott's parent's house. It was fun to spend it with family. And Grandma and Grandpa provided the treats!

First Solid Food (besides the door!)

We realized that Kael was trying to give us a hint when he ate his door (and everything else he can get his hands on) and telling us that it was time for some solid food. So we finally gave in and started him on pablum. He seemed to like it. He didn't seem to excited about it, but he ate it without spitting it in my face so that must be a good sign. This is the first time we gave it to him, he looks like he's been eating it for months! My baby is growing up so fast...

Kael ATE his door!

Kael is growing and changing so much. He is so sweet and always so happy. He almost always has to have something in his mouth. He is getting around a little now, too. He somehow just scoots and rolls his way to where he wants to be. I laid him on the floor in his room this morning and when I came back he had crept over to his door and started chowing down. It was so funny and just SO Kael, that I had to take a picture.

Chef Moses

Moses loves to cook with us. It can sometimes make my job a lot harder to not only have to cook but to find ways he can help and to keep his little hands from getting burned. But when you see moments like this it is all worth it! How cute! He was cooking all by himself (granted it was already done and off the heat) and loving every minute of it!

Kate's Visit!

Kate came from Edmonton to visit us. We have been missing her and Jason so it was good to see her - even if Jason was too far away to come too. Moses remembered who she was even though he hadn't seen her in about 3 months. He was so happy to see her he really didn't leave her side the entire time she was here. And he especially appreciated the cotton candy she brought him. It was his first experience with cotton candy and he was a little apprehensive at first. But once he got it in his mouth he was hooked. He has since told me that we need to buy some more the next time we go to the store.

Playing Together

So Moses asked to play with Kael for the first time yesterday! Talk about a happy mommy moment! I had to take a picture to document it. They were playing Dinosaurs - one of Moses' favorite new games. He has one dinosaur named Dinn (after Dr Seuss' Oh Say Can You Say) and 4 smaller dinosaurs that are "Dinn's babies." The smaller ones are named the kind of dinosaurs that they are. A couple of witch I can't seem to remember how to say and none of witch I am sure how to spell. Kael got to play with one (or eat one) while Moses played with the other 4. I was so happy that they are playing together. It just shows that someday they are going to be great brothers and best buds! (every mother's dream!)

Family Visit

My family came to Canada! Yeah!!!! Well, some of them anyway. My mom, Annalysa, Natasha, and Denise and their kids all piled into a minivan for an all girls (except for Chase, of course!) trip to the True North. We had a really good time. We went swimming and on a kid free trip to the mall (thanks SO SO much, Mom) and all us girls went out for desert and a movie (thanks Scott). But mostly we just visited and let the kids play together. The kids did really well with each other - there were only a few little tousles we had to break up. Moses and Tess mostly played together and Chase and Alexa were inseparable. Those two were ALWAYS together! It was so great to see everyone and I was so happy they all came up here just to see me! Cypress Hills

Well, just as we finished in Drumheller, we had a another residency trip to go on. This one was for all the residents in Scott's program and their families. We went to Cypress Hills resort in SK. They gave us vouchers for golfing, swimming, and mini golf. Scott and I switched off golfing and babysitting. We tried to go swimming, but just as we arrived at the pool, they had to close because some kid pooped in the water! YUCK! So we went as a family to play miniature golf instead. We had a lot of fun teaching Moses how to hold the golf club and get the ball in the hole. At first Scott and I tried to compete against each other, but between me taking too many pictures (Moses just looked so cute!) and Scott having Kael strapped to his belly, we gave up after the first couple of holes. It was a fun little trip and I am so glad his program takes the time to plan this stuff for us!
